My love for crafting terrain began when I was 13, right around the time the Cityfight codex was released. I didn’t have a fully painted army yet, but what I did have was a passion for creating immersive battlefields. Armed with tape, cardboard, and foam, I started building terrain—my first pieces were a bit rough, with peeling tape and foam showing its round bubbles. Still, I loved every minute of the process.

Though my early terrain was far from perfect, I didn’t mind. It was about creating something special for my friends and I to battle over. We’d spend hours on my parents’ back porch, playing epic wargames across these handcrafted boards.

Fast forward to today, and while I no longer have the time to handcraft each piece from scratch, my passion for creating engaging and beautiful battlefields has only grown. That’s why I started CarHoleMakers—to help others bring their wargames to life with stunning, high-quality terrain.
